A devastating earthquake has killed, injured or deprived thousands of Moroccans of their livelihoods. We are working in the region and have compiled a list of trusted organizations that are helping in need and rely on donations.
A devastating earthquake hit Morocco on 8th of September 2023. As of now (14. September), the official death toll surpasses 2.900. Thousands are injured, and much higher numbers lost their livelihoods. If you are wondering how to help - we have compiled a list of trusted partner organizations that are currently carrying out projects securing the lives of the survivors and are helping them re-build perspectives:
Association le Futur pour les Chantiers et le Développement (AFCD): Based in Ait Ourir, only a few kilometers from the epicenter, AFCD is very well encroached in the region and currently active in providing aid like water, food, and warm blankets to affected families.
The donations collected will mainly help to provide basic commodities such as personal care items, shelf stable food, clothing and household items to people and families based in the affected villages in the area of Al Haouz.

Tiflet Young Leaders Network (TYLN): Based in Tiflet, the network has already sent aid, including food, three ambulances, and a medical team, to the earthquake-affected province of Taroudant in Morocco.
The association is actively collecting donations to organize more humanitarian missions, providing essentials like food, clothing, tents, and medications to the affected villages.

Youth for Climate:
Youth for Climate Morocco (Y4CM): Based in Mohammedia, Youth for Climate Morocco is a Moroccan youth-led organization mobilizing for climate and social justice. They are currently active in providing aid like tents, pallets, mattresses, clothing, flashlights and warm blankets to affected families.
The donations collected will mainly help to provide temporary housing solutions and personal care items (especially for women), to people and families based in the affected villages in the area of Ouarzazate and Taroudant.

The Minority Globe (TMG): an association based in Casablanca, which works in different cities with a focus mainly on marginalized areas (very poor neighborhoods).
The association works on culture/art and migration. TMG was very active in humanitarian aid during COVID times, and they are now actively collecting donations to organize some humanitarian assistance in the affected regions.
